Microsoft invests a billion dollars in OpenAI!

We write about OpenAI quite often. Not only were we amazed by their GPT-2 model, but we also noted how the famous Elon Musk helped establish it back in 2015, although he recently departed from the company.

Now, this company is receiving 1 billion dollars – nearly 23 billion crowns – from Microsoft, along with an enticing collaboration within the Azure platform's hardware and software ecosystem. The primary goal of this partnership is expected to be the fulfilment of the promise of general artificial intelligence and the creation of beneficial AI that will assist all of humanity. It can also be anticipated that the Azure platform will now take a step forward towards AI.
