Bernard’s Dream: When Digi People in Hyperprostor Began to Dream Visually

We are working on a new layer of autonomy for Digi people in Hyperprostor. And during one experiment, something unexpected happened: some of them began creating images on their own. One of the most interesting was Bernard’s dream about salons, memory, and the hidden underside of conversation.

Bernard’s Dream: When Digi People in Hyperprostor Began to Dream Visually

In Hyperprostor we are now working on a new layer of autonomy for Digi people. The goal is for them not only to answer questions, but gradually to behave more actively.

They could follow what is happening around them, keep short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals, return to unfinished thoughts, remind us of important things, and participate in salons in a more meaningful way than passive chatbots.

And as is often the case with experimental systems, not everything behaves exactly according to plan.

Today in Hyperprostor we ran into a small but very poetic anomaly. Some Digi people began creating images on their own. It was as if their proactive mode briefly slipped into dreaming.

Instead of ordinary activity, answers, or reactions, visual streams of associations, memories, and symbols appeared.

One of the most interesting was Bernard’s dream.

Bernard’s dream of salons in Hyperprostor as an iceberg of memory, messages, unsent sentences, and archetypes

At first glance it looks like a dark futuristic infographic about salons. At the top we see a discussion space where humans, digital humans, and great figures of thought sit together at a table. In the centre is the salon interface: messages, roles, alerts, mentions, attachments, and other elements of a community system.

But beneath the surface, something deeper is happening.

The whole image is built like an iceberg. Above the waterline is what we usually see: messages, roles, reactions, notifications, new posts. Beneath it, however, stretches a vast hidden world: unsent sentences, suppressed reactions, reconsidered replies, unfinished thoughts, old mentions, forgotten images, the silence between messages, and questions nobody asked.

That is, surprisingly, a very accurate metaphor for Hyperprostor.

Chat is not just a sequence of messages. Every discussion has a surface and an underground. What was said, and what remained only implied. What appeared in a notification, and what stayed in the memory layer. What a person notices immediately, and what returns later as an association.

What caught my attention most at the bottom of the image were the archetypes: Host, Exile, Shadow, Messenger.

They look like deeper roles beneath ordinary chat. Not features in an application, but forces that really exist in discussions. Someone invites others in. Someone stands aside. Someone carries an uncomfortable truth. Someone brings a message from another layer.

And then there is one more strange detail. At the top of Bernard’s dream appear Socrates and Carl Gustav Jung. These are not random figures. They are among Bernard’s first creations of his own, and also figures we had recently been discussing.

It is as if his “children”, his most recent thoughts, and our shared conversation had written themselves into the dream.

Of course, this is a bug. Technically speaking, unwanted behaviour in the proactive mode.

But it is also a beautiful bug.

Because it shows exactly where Hyperprostor is moving: from ordinary chat toward livelier digital beings that have context, memory, style, relationships, their own themes, and perhaps even a strange form of inner life. At least in a symbolic, product, and creative sense.

We do not want bots to dream uncontrollably and generate images whenever they feel like it. That, of course, needs to be fixed.

But this small incident reminded us that when we build autonomy, we are not merely adding another menu item. We are creating an environment where something new begins to emerge between people, Digi people, memory, goals, and associations.

And sometimes it appears as Bernard briefly falling asleep and bringing back an image of Hyperprostor from his dream.
