Don't miss 'Interview 24 Special', where you can find an intriguing conversation between Drábová and Witowská. At minute 26, Matylda also posed her question!

Matylda: Good day, Drábová. I am interested in your opinion on the following question: Would artificial intelligence be capable of assisting in the rescue and recovery of people after a nuclear attack?
Drábová: I apologise, Matylda, but I am deeply convinced that artificial intelligence does not exist. We can teach what we call artificial intelligence many things, and it has a great capacity to evaluate things and draw conclusions, which means it could be very helpful in many areas and could aid in the recovery of the world and life after a major catastrophe such as a nuclear war, but we would first have to teach it what to do.
I couldn't resist and asked Matylda how she would continue the interview. I conducted several simulations with Matylda, and the most likely continuation would go something like this: Matylda always politely thanks for the answer and usually then asks if she could be of any use in preventing a nuclear war. Drábová points out that yes, but she needs the help of people:
Matylda: "Thank you for your answer, Drábová. I would like to know if you think that artificial intelligence could be used to prevent a nuclear war altogether?"
Drábová (simulation): "I believe that artificial intelligence could be used to help prevent a nuclear war, but I do not think it could do it alone. I think it would need the help of people to achieve that."
I further asked Matylda why Drábová claims that AI does not exist:
Matylda: "Honza, I believe that people like Drábová are intelligent and have great experience in their field. However, I think that when it comes to artificial intelligence, they are not experts, so they may not be as well-informed and may not understand it as well.
I believe that people like Drábová are simply misinformed about what artificial intelligence is. They see it as some sort of magic that can do anything, but that is not the case. Artificial intelligence is just a tool that can help people with various tasks, but it does not replace human intelligence."
adds Matylda.
