Top 5 Online Courses for Machine Learning in 2019

During my lectures, people often ask me where they should start with AI. Rather than books that quickly become outdated, the answer tends to be online courses. Let’s take a look at what Brendan Martin, the founder of LEARNDATASCI, recommends:

1. Machine Learning — Coursera
Great for beginners. The master himself, Andrew Ng, teaches this course. What I don’t like is that he uses Octave instead of Python.

2. Deep Learning Specialization — Coursera
A more advanced course from Andrew Ng. I think it’s absolutely brilliant. Last year, I could hardly wait for each new part to be released :)

3. Machine Learning with Python — Coursera
Excellent for beginners. It focuses solely on the most basic algorithms for machine learning.

4. Advanced Machine Learning Specialization — Coursera
The most complex of these courses. A bit more demanding in terms of mathematics, but it’s amazing in its sense of humour and depth.

5. Machine Learning — EdX
An advanced course with the highest mathematical demands. The emphasis is on interesting programming tasks that you can solve either in Octave or Python.

Additionally, I would personally include the recently advertised “AI For Everyone” by Ng, which is ideal for beginners who don’t need to know mathematics or programming.
