Public support for research and development in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) in the Czech Republic has doubled from 2007 to 2017, reaching 260 million crowns. The planned expenditure for 2018 was expected to exceed 400 million. Targeted support is primarily utilised by universities, which have received nearly 80 per cent of the funds allocated for AI-focused project solutions in recent years.
