Although Germany is one of the most advanced countries in the world, according to Angela Merkel, it is lagging behind global leaders in the development of artificial intelligence. The Chancellor's cabinet has therefore committed to investing three billion euros (78 billion crowns) in this area over the next six years. However, the total amount is expected to be at least doubled with the involvement of the private sector, as Berlin anticipates in a strategic document reported by the Financial Times.
