Israeli scientists from the Department of Physics at Bar-Ilan University have developed a new type of neural network that draws more inspiration from the human brain. The biological learning algorithms incorporate asynchronous input signals with a decreasing sum of inputs and multiple outputs. This experiment, among other things, aims not to process all information completely at once. To put it more precisely – they are working on a new type of cooperative nonlinear dynamics, with adaptation attributed solely to a few node terminals.
This discovery could lead to much faster artificial neural networks, whose architecture is more inspired by Mother Nature.
