I Did Another Crazy Experiment 🧪
I had Hyperprostor conduct deep research about my life and create an interactive "decision tree". A map of alternative realities.
What would have happened if I hadn't studied philosophy, psychology, and ethics, but computer science?
What if I had accepted an offer from OpenAI in 2018 instead of founding Alpha Industries?
What if I hadn't given DigiHavel to schools for free?
AI simulated all of this and assigned probabilities. The result is a website where I can click through alternative versions of my life. Including predictions up to the year 2035 🔮
The most interesting finding? Almost all the "financially advantageous" paths lead to a lesser impact on society. Conversely, the decisions that "hurt" me in the short term make the most sense in the long term.
For example: if I were at OpenAI today, I would have millions of dollars. But DigiHavel would not exist. 350 schools would not have AI teachers.
The book Syndikát would lack a main character.
🤔 A question for you:
- Would you be interested in something similar?
- Would you like to visualise your own alternative past and future? Or is it better not to look back?
