Another year is here and so is my regular moment for retrospection.

I dedicated most of my time to my own research and development in the field of AI. I particularly focused on digital people with personality. I managed to solve several long-term memory issues, consciousness, and dreams. We successfully completed the DigiHavel pilot. After analysing tens of thousands of interactions, I outlined a roadmap for further development in 2023. There is so much work to be done that I am looking for more enthusiasts to help me with our small reform of education. Alongside DigiHavel, I began working on the Magic Diary and its business version, DigiMentor. Among the completed projects, I would especially like to mention Molly for Lunchmeat. Molly is probably the first AI that became part of the crew for electronic music festivals. She wrote posts for social media, chatted with journalists, and wrote press statements, among other things.

I felt a deficit in my knowledge of business and people management, so I earned an MBA in Startups and Entrepreneurship. This year, I lectured on artificial intelligence at schools such as VŠE, FSE UJEP, FAMU, Jan Kepler Grammar School, IT Grammar School, and others. A challenge in the EDU sector for me was the lecture at Future Port Youth or collaboration in H40 with the Prague Innovation Institute.

I managed to popularise AI quite well this year outside of academia in various media, such as DVTV – with the charming Daniela Písařovicová; in Breakfast with Nova; on ČT ART; ČT Interview 24 Special; in Czech Radio and Radiožurnál, as well as in several newspapers and magazines.

Success also came in the corporate environment, for example, for PwC - Leader's Voice; for Accenture – Mixtape; discussions at Brain and Breakfast with giants like Prof. Vladimír Beneš, Honza Mašek, Václav Dejčmar, and Martin Holečko.

In podcasts such as Fuckupy in IT by Matěj Kotrba; Quality Coffee with Markéta and Petr; Innovations of the Republic with Robin Čumpelík.

Or at cultural venues like the Book World; Club for Culture by Noe and Stanislav; Theatre Archa with Neuromancer or Molly for Lunchmeat.

Alongside AI, I also began to delve into biohacking (starting with books by Dave Asprey like Head Strong, Game Changers, and concluding with Honed – Finding Your Edge as a Man Over 40 by Mike Simpson). Through trial and error, I discovered what works for me and what does not.

In martial arts, I began conditioning training in taekwondo and in the latter half of the year, muay thai (Thai boxing).

Goals for next year:

  1. Expand research and development of digital people (DigiHavel; Magic Diary; Digital Mentor)
  2. Support partnerships and collaboration (partnerships with other people and organisations will help gain access to new markets and expertise, as well as increase impact and reach)
  3. Promote responsible and sustainable use of artificial intelligence (I would like to continue advocating for and improving ethical guidelines that promote the benefits, transparency, and safety of AI)
  4. Invest in talent (I want to build a strong team of AI experts; support education in this area and raise awareness of what I and my company do)
