The 3rd Annual HUMAIN Conference – on design, humanities, art, and artificial intelligence, arising from the collaboration between FaVU VUT, FF MUNI, and the Brno.ai platform, will take place on 22nd October 2022 at the Brno creative centre Kumst.
The idea of artificial intelligence as a science-fiction phenomenon of the future is long gone. It is here and now. Each of us encounters it when scrolling through the feeds of Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok; it is used in mobility, in predicting behaviour, in political marketing, and elsewhere. Artificial intelligence does not resemble the dystopias of the eighties and nineties, but rather manifests as subtle and invisible algorithms that influence what we buy, which route we take, whom we vote for, and whom we hate every day. The reality is that its existence is, in many ways, far more frightening than its portrayal.
At this year's HUMAIN conference: on design, humanities, art, and artificial intelligence, we will ask how we can turn the algorithms of artificial intelligence to our advantage. How can we integrate it into well-being? How can it be a co-creator, for instance, in the learning process or in public matters?
