Apple Receives an Invitation to Prague. IBM Wants to Explore Artificial Intelligence Here

In collaboration with IBM, a technology centre focused on artificial intelligence is set to be established in the Czech Republic.

On Thursday, the Czech delegation met with IBM Vice President Martin Schroeter, presenting him with their new strategy “Czech Republic: A Country for the Future”. “We want to somewhat replicate what France achieved in Davos last year, when President Macron met with IBM's leadership. The result was the creation of an AI hub, which currently employs 200 people. We have received a similar promise,” stated Karel Havlíček, Vice Chairman of the Government Council for Research, Development and Innovation.

IBM already employs nearly 6,000 people in the Czech Republic, with 50 of them dedicated to artificial intelligence. The American company is expected to invest in know-how and the establishment of the AI hub here.
