AI assisted editors and journalists in transcribing data from the Czech Statistical Office. “Robotically, about half of the headlines of the election service results were prepared, the vast majority of flashes (short news pieces of two paragraphs with a forecast of the final result) and reports after counting one hundred per cent of the votes. In total, over 200 automatically generated texts passed through the hands of editors,” explains Milena Schmidová, spokesperson for ČTK.
