The premise of this theory is that an all-powerful artificial intelligence from the future could retroactively punish those who did not contribute to its existence. Particularly, it would target those who were aware of the possibilities of its development! You might be wondering why such a unique superintelligence would do this. After all, it would be to mitigate its existential risk. The most effective way to achieve this would be to eliminate that risk not only in the present but also in the past.
