I am honoured to introduce our latest project in the field of natural language processing – the emotion detector!

EMO – works on a similar principle to the toxic word detector, but is a bit more advanced. You type or paste text into the box and press Enter (or the analyse button).

In the bottom left, you will see a graph created from an advanced neural network. This network learns to understand context from several thousand pre-labelled sentences. On the right, there is an expert system based on a large vocabulary. The neural network performs well on short texts of up to 100 words, while the expert system excels on longer texts, where statistics begin to apply.

Below the text, you can see the number of emotionally recognised words. If you wish to highlight emotionally charged words in the text, simply click on the emotion below the text, and the words will be colourfully highlighted.

So, what do you think of our new toy? Can you think of any applications for such a tool? Perhaps we could use it in Databig to enhance the quality of various e-commerce platforms?
