Yesterday I had the honour of attending a conference on European regulations and their impacts on business, where I aimed to emphasise the following key points:

  1. Collaboration is key: It is essential for small, medium, and large companies to collaborate synergistically rather than compete unhealthily. This collaboration should also involve the academic sphere, business, and the government sector. 💼👨‍🏫🏛️

  2. Long-term goals and innovation: We must think about long-term goals and not shy away from innovation. Too many regulations can be counterproductive. Sometimes, fewer clear rules mean more space for growth and innovation. 🚀🌱

  3. Balance in regulations: We discussed the newly approved AI Act, which aims to protect citizens and promote the ethical development of artificial intelligence. However, overly strict regulations could jeopardise our competitiveness. We must find the right balance. 🤖📊

And then also start with ourselves. Begin actively doing something (DigiHavel, DigiKomenský, DigiExpert, Neo...) 🤖

I endeavoured to convey these thoughts to the conference participants, and I believe that their implementation can lead to a better future for all parties involved. 🌟

👏 Thank you to the organisers Združenie podnikateľov Slovenska, Slovak Business Agency (SBA), and the Republic Union of Employers, as well as everyone who contributed to this rich discussion.
