Clearly, the long-standing collaboration between Microsoft and OpenAI is on the right track. You can find several examples on the website, but I look forward to trying it out personally.
Today, Google strikes back. It introduces the long-anticipated project, Bard. According to Google, the problem with AI chatbots is that there isn't always just one correct answer (the NORA problem – No One Right Answer), and so Bard will function similarly to what Bing has planned. The new search engine will display a generated response from AI, followed by the usual Google results, as we are accustomed to, in order to satisfy all types of users. Moreover, it has also left room for advertising and monetisation. Bard will be built on the LaMDA model (which it developed back in 2021 but still hasn't made available to us, despite our long wait on the list).
Furthermore, we can hopefully look forward to a better translator from Google, one that works with context. The traditional one is already lagging behind Deepl. Unfortunately, the new translation modules currently only concern a few languages (English, German, French, Spanish, and Japanese).
