Merry Christmas to all supporters of artificial intelligence! 🎄

I was looking at what books Bill Gates is reading now📖. You may know that during Christmas he always finds time for 5 books that he considers exceptionally interesting. One of his chosen ones caught my attention 📖 and that is "A Thousand Brains by Jeffrey C. Hawkins".

In the book, Hawkins aligns himself with the majority of scientists and philosophers🧐 who have a handle on the hellish dualism: there is no spirit 👻 in the machine, no spooky soul so separate from the hardware that it would survive death, no Cartesian theatre (a term coined by Daniel Dennett), where a colourful screen displays the film of the world to an observing self. Instead, Hawkins proposes multiple models of the world, constructed microcosms, informed and shaped by a rain of neural impulses flowing to us from our senses. 🌧✨⚡️👁
