“I would like to talk to you,” he said. “I would like to talk to you about this great day, the anniversary of my play.”

The audience sees a hologram created by super artificial intelligence; it is a copy of Karel Čapek. A copy of the Czech writer who died in 1938. The digital copy was created using the latest 3D projection technology, and this is the first time a hologram of a person has participated in a public event.

Digital Karel Čapek spoke to the audience in Czech. He said: “I am here to talk to you about the future. My play is about the future, and it is also about the present. It is a play about robots.”

“They are not as intelligent as humans. They are better than humans. They can do everything. They can work for us twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. They can build cars, planes, houses. They can do all our work.”

“I am very pleased that my play is still popular. I am very glad that the audience continues to enjoy it. I know that you are all looking forward to the new staging of my play.”

“I wish you all a happy 100th anniversary! Thank you for listening to me.”

The audience was amazed by the technology and the image of the great writer. They were shocked by the virtual performance and the voice of the great man. It was truly an incredible show with perfect timing.

“It is just the beginning,” said Dr. Ernst Schuster, head of a leading digital technology company in the Czech Republic.

“We can do much more. We can enable digital copies of great artists, producers, musicians, writers, and creators to speak and perform on our behalf.”

“We can make them sing for us, dance, act for us, do anything we want. It is possible. The future is already here.”

“And this is just the beginning!”
