HLEG A.I. – High-Level Expert Group on Artificial Intelligence presents new robotics laws:
• A.I. must be under human control
• A.I. must be robust and safe
• A.I. must respect privacy, and citizens must have control over their data (GDPR)
• A.I. must be transparent – humans must have control over what is happening
• A.I. must not discriminate against anyone
• A.I. must serve humanity and sustainable development
• A.I. systems must have resolved issues of legal liability
Personally, I believe that while the ethical aspect is extraordinarily important, Europe needs to invest more capital into A.I. and, above all, support promising startups more effectively.
